Your involvement prior, during and post ISPY will make all the difference to your participating crews overall experience and success. From the selection process you choose, to the timely distribution of information, coaching and mentoring prior to attending, support during the event and giving feedback upon their return.
As well as looking after the crew, there’s your ISPY, and making sure that you make the most of what ISPY has to offer that is of special interest to you in your capacity as a training & performance manager.
Instead of observing the crew training sessions and joining in their programme as in previous years, we have put a programme together which we think you will both enjoy and find extremely beneficial. We understand that networking is an important part of any event and from testimonials we have received, we know how much you like and benefit from networking with your peers from other airlines. This is why we intend starting your programme with a ‘speed networking session’. This will ensure that everyone gets the opportunity to introduce themselves, get to know each other, see if there is any common ground and diarise an appointment later on in the week, during one of the structured networking sessions to talk further, if desired.
The workshops scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will feature:
- An overview of the sales training being delivered to the crew
- Crew communication - presented by The Ad Plain
- Initiating a sales culture - presented by Flydubai
- KA$H the Aer Lingus way - Aer Lingus
- Getting to know yourself - presented by DFASS
The opportunity to observe your crew during their assessments still remains and we have set aside one training session of your choice to obeserve.
All participating airlines must complete the FOC TRT sales culture benchmarking questionnaire, and submit an entry for the ISPY Airline of the year award. These 2 pre event tasks are usually the responsibility of the training & performance manager.
The addition of ispyPLUS programme (which starts on day 3 of ISPY) provides airlines with the unique opportunity to send a ‘delegation’ representing; crew, yourselves, and buyers. Only when all stakeholders including concessionaires and suppliers come together under the same roof does innovation and excellence prosper. Other benefits to bringing everyone together include; greater appreciation, understanding, cooperation and the realisation that we are all working towards the same goal.
From Wednesday onwards you can ’mix & match’ the ISPY & ispyPLUS programmes to suit your specific needs and interests. For example; there is a conference which focuses on crew issues, or you can attend one or more of the Inflight Retail commercial workshops. You can join the crew for Dragon’s Den or you can join in the networking sessions. The choice is yours.
During each day everyone attends the session’s specific to them and in the evenings (except Thursday) everybody comes together to relax, chat and have fun.
Don’t forget our special offer- 10% discount on airline entry fees when a ‘delegation party’ is booked (minimum 1 training & performance manager, 2 crew and 1 buyer).
