Many congratulations on being selected to represent your airline at the forthcoming airline event of the year; 'ISPY'

ISPY is a competition; a competition to find the ‘Inflight Sales Person of the Year’. However, it is certainly not all about winning. As someone once said “success is a journey, not a destination”. That is certainly true of ISPY. The whole ISPY experience will be one that you never forget; for the skills you gained, the friendships you made, for the inner confidence that was just waiting for the right moment to show itself.

Over five days you will interact with your peers from around the globe, learning about their culture, sharing experiences and selling tips too. The formal training is ‘state of the art’ designed by Travel Retail Training Ltd (industry crew training experts). You will be trained, however, by your peers who happen to be last year’s winners. As a part of their prize they went onto complete the ISPY advanced programme; Train to become a Trainer, and if they reached the required standard they progressed to the ISPY sales training; Train the Trainer programme. So when they are standing at the front of the classroom training you, just think, that could be you in a year’s time.

Not only do you have the opportunity to further your development through the above route, many past participants have advanced their career by joining their airline’s Inflight Retail department, going into crew training or achieving promotion within their current role as crew. ISPY, we are constantly being told, is a life changing experience.

ISPY is unique in that the balance between hard work and fun is just about perfect. We expect your full attention and dedication to the tasks we set during the day.  In the evening the atmosphere changes. It is a time to relax, get to know everyone and have lots of fun. We provide all the food and drink but remember, we expect the highest standards of conduct at all times.

Dresscode requires you to wear uniform during the day, Monday until Friday.  On Monday until Thursday evenings smart casual will be fine, and black tie/posh frocks on Friday for the awards ceremony gala evening is the order of the day.

Mere words can only give a glimpse of what to expect at ISPY.  However, nothing can prepare you for the excitement and sense of being a part of something very special indeed. All we can do is promise you an amazing week that you will never forget.
