Having celebrated ISPY’s 10th anniversary in style last year we are determined that ISPY 2011 will be every bit as good if not indeed BETTER.
The sales, product and personal development training the worlds greatest selling cabin crew will receive will be ground breaking once again. A new focus on teamwork and crew/customer interaction will be on the agenda. We have managed to extend the time dedicated to the assessments so that we can accommodate upto 100 crew this year.
There will be approximately 50 hours of training and personal development for the worlds greatest selling cabin crew.
Here is a snap shot of some of the improvements we are making for 2011:
The ISPY Airline of the Year award will be slightly different due to the feedback we received. The four short listed airlines will be asked to make a 15-minute elevator pitch presentation to their peers attending ISPY on the Monday (ISPY day 1). There will also be an opportunity for questions. The Crew management attending these presentations will be asked to complete a simple feedback form on each one. The judges – ISPY’s Platinum & Gold Sponsors, will take into account this feedback when making their decision on the winner the following day.
The Supplier Showcase will not conflict with the ispyPLUS programme, which will start on the following day (Thursday ISPY day 4).
ispyPLUS will be a 2-day programme preceded by a dinner the previous evening. Wayne Hemingway, who was such a favourite last year, is coming back and will facilitate an interactive session. We are also looking for a guest speaker who can enlighten us on worldwide buying trends. The afternoon has been set aside for networking and or joining in the Dragons’ Den competition.
Day 2 of ispyPLUS will consist of a morning workshop entitled “If we always do what we’ve always done, we will always get the same results”. New ideas and working practices will be put forward for discussion. The afternoon has once again been set aside for networking or off site meetings.
ISPY in the Dragons’ Den competition will also be slightly different this year. One entry from each airline will be selected and given the chance to develop their idea with the help of their management team and a sponsor (supplier) in part one of this session. Our Platinum & Gold sponsors will oversee this development process and select 10 products to go through to part 2. In part 2 will see the crew present the 10 short listed products, to the Dragons’. Everyone attending will be able to vote for the product they think has the most potential.
The ISPY 2011 crew awards will take on a whole new look this year. Having analyzed the results over the past few years, the difference between the scores for the UK & Ireland and the Rest of the World has virtually disappeared. So, the rationale for splitting the awards into these 2 categories is no longer justified. At ISPY 2011 there will be bronze, silver and gold places for each individual skill award and overall awards.
Please note - All crew who take part must be operating cabin crew. Sales trainers and airline management cannot enter the ISPY crew competition.
