ISPY+ Supplier of the year - Press

Objective:

To provide international recognition to the most innovative Supplier to Inflight Retail

Background:

At a recent meeting with key ISPY sponsors the why’s and wherefore’s of the ispyPLUS Supplier of the Year award, were discussed.

Issues identified were:

  1. Do we want this award?
  2. The need to create a level playing field
  3. Judging criteria
  4. Method of voting
  5. Feedback

1. Do we want this award?

Consensus: Yes

There is a desire for and a perceived value for an award which delivers the following:

  1.       Agreement on judging criteria
  2.       Voting by airline buyers
  3.       2 awards; UK & Ireland, and Rest of the World
  4.        Individual and overall feedback

2. The need to creating a level playing field

Consensus: There should be 2 awards; 1 for suppliers who only sell within the UK & Ireland & another for suppliers who sell on a truly global basis.
