WHAT: ISPY in the Dragons’ Den

WHEN: 31st July 2010 – (Compulsory)

Your crew should come up with an idea for a product which suits the specific needs for

Inflight Retail. Please email details of their product to us no later than the 31st July and

we will select the best 10 to present to a panel of industry experts. This can be a team or

an individual exercise. A form will also be available on our website.

WHAT: ISPY Airline of the Year:

WHEN: 31st July 2010 – (Compulsory)

There are 2 parts to this. Part 1- sales culture online benchmarking questionnaire and in

no more than 5000 words tell us what you have done to improve the sales culture within

your airline.

The questionnaire will be sent directly to you.

The best 3 entries will be invited to present their entry and any further information to a

panel of judges on the Tuesday morning of ISPY.

WHAT: ISPY Inflight Retail Brochure

WHEN: download from website from 2nd week of August

Please direct crew to website for ISPY Inflight retail brochure (no hard copies will be sent

in advance) It is your responsibility to ensure your participating crew have a copy of this

well in advance so that they may learn about the products. ISPY Inflight Retail Brochure

will be given to crew on arrival.

Crew product knowledge exam will be based on the ISPY product range.

WHAT: Send us your own Airline in-flight Retail brochures & 1 logo model aircraft from

your company:

WHEN: The delivery window is as follows: 9th August – 13th August only please

Normally airlines send 25 of their most recent Inflight Retail brochures, which we put out

for everyone to look at and take away with them. This year we are asking for 1 model

aircraft from your company (this is for our cultural communication sessions).

MISCELLANEOUS

Getting to the event venue: More information about the bus shuttle service we will be

available soon

When at the event:

Registration: will be open from 4.00 - 8.00pm Sunday 12th September

Uniform: Crew must wear full uniform during daytime activities

Help for crew who’s first language is not English:

For written assessments, non English crew may use a paper translation dictionary – to

further help those who do not have English as their first language we will scribe the

written PK and PA exams - however we do need to know about this in advance.

Below are the full scribe rules for ISPY 2010:

• The scribe is there to write for the competing crew member

• The scribe must write exactly what the crew member says

• The scribe cannot change what the crew member has asked them to write

• The scribe cannot give the crew member help with alternative wording

• The scribe cannot give suggestions to improve the wording

• The scribe cannot give help with any answers

• The scribe cannot suggest an alternative answer to any question

• The scribe cannot tell the crew member which question to do first

• The scribe cannot tell the crew member when to move on to the next question

• The scribe will read back what the crew member has asked them to write, but

only if asked to do so.

Behaviour: Inappropriate crew behaviour will result in them being sent home.

Inappropriate social networking postings will not be tolerated
