Pre-event preparation - Crew Management

To ensure that your crew are fully prepared for ISPY it is important that your selection process has been completed at least 16 weeks before the event. Preferable it should be a lot earlier than that so that a briefing and any additional training can be carried out.

The crew will find everything they need to know on this website so we would be grateful if you point them in this direction. Steve one of our team will be happy to answer any questions they may have. He can be contacted by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

4 weeks before ISPY participating crew and their management will be able to download from this website a copy of the ISPY Inflight Retail brochure. The product range featured in this brochure is the range of products crew will use during their training and assessments. We strongly advise crew to learn as much as possible about these products and brands before the event. This preparation will pay dividends when you are going through your assessments.

ISPY in the Dragon’s Den is a session where the crew get to present their new product ideas (specific to Inflight) to a panel of industry experts. You coordinate organise your crew entries for this extremely motivating and entertaining session. They MUST present their own idea. If you have more than one crew participating at ISPY then they are allowed (encouraged to put in a team entry). If their product idea is shortlisted, they will get to present their product idea to a panel of experts and they will choose the winning product.

You and your crew are invited to take part in ISPY’s Got Talent. This is our fun talent show which takes place on the Tuesday evening. We will have access to the words and music of many songs. Just let us know if you want to sing a song, which song it is and we will organise the rest. Last year we had a selection of acts ranging from singers, groups, and actors. We only have tem performance slots for this evening so we are allocating them on a first come first served basis. This was one of the social highlights last year, not one to be missed.

Crew must attend the daytime programme in uniform. There is a dresscode page on their section of the website. It is important for you to advise the crew on what type of behaviour we expect of them at ISPY. We will expect them to participate fully and attend every session. They will need to work hard if they are to do well, but at the same time we will ensure that the learning as well as the social events are fun. Over indulgence of alcohol or drinking alcohol at inappropriate times will not be tolerated and could lead to them being sent home. This has never happened before and we certainly don’t want to happen in the future.

We would like to thank you in advance of your cooperation.
